MASCOT FOR TASSYA
Meet the All-Emotions Turtle, the heart behind the artπ’β¨
Mental health is a huge topic, especially for kids. My goal was to create a character that didn't feel like a "teacher" or a "doctor," but like a best friend who understands. That's how I created the "All- Emotions Turtle". I wanted to design a mascot that felt like a giant hug. By pairing soft palettes with rounded shapes, I built a mascot that kids naturally connect with. This shifted the brand from being a service to a companion.

The Mascot
Why a Turtle?
We chose a turtle for its natural symbolism: protection and pace.
β
-
The Shell: Represents a "safe space" where children can retreat when overwhelmed.β
β
-
The Pace: Reinforces the idea that emotional growth isn't a race, it’s okay to take things slow.
β
-
Visual Style: Large, expressive eyes to foster immediate connection, with a soft pastel palette to reduce visual overstimulation.

Here's how I made the mascot:
β
-
The "Mood Sprout" Indicator: Check out the leaves on the tummy! They’re like a tiny emotional barometer. When the turtle is feeling good, they're upright; during difficult emotions, they droop. It’s a simple visual shorthand to help kids identify their own energy levels.
β
-
The "Safe Space" Shell: Instead of just a design element, the shell is a storytelling tool. For the Fear emotion, it peeks out from inside, normalizing the idea that it’s okay to take a beat and hide when the world feels too loud.
β
-
A Full Emotional Spectrum: I developed a library of expressions so the brand can communicate anything. Whether it's Surprised (big "O" mouth) or Angry (raised arms and red-eyed "spice"), the character remains lovable and non-threatening.

By giving the brand a relatable face, we turned a complex subject into a daily conversation. The mascot doesn't just represent the brand; it talks to the kids, making the brand's mission more accessible, memorable, and most importantly, trusted.
Every brand has a story and I just give it a face. If you're looking for a mascot that makes your business feel a bit more human, I’m your illustrator. Think your brand could use a character? Let’s chat.
